Myth and Meaning: Resolution Blog 8

Myth and Meaning: Resolution

The resolution in my narrative follows what Lue does to the human souls to give diversity amongst all humans.  By aging each soul correctly, he is able to give some humans wisdom, others strength, and others intelligence.  With each passing life the soul will leave the physical body of a dead human, and become the soul of a newborn infant.  This transfer allows the soul to gain knowledge and power with each lifetime it serves in.  Without this critical balance amongst humans, life would be too dull, or too exciting.  This is how humans have gained more diverse physical traits and larger or more complex brains, depending on the age of their soul, a person could be considered immature or mature.

Myth and Meaning: Climax Blog 7

Myth and Meaning: Climax

The climax in my story follows when Prometheus has to separate the Moon and Sun God from each-other in the sky.  This creates an imbalance which Prometheus has to fix by having the God of the Moon control night time, and The God of the Sun control day time.  After gaining the two objects he requires from these two gods, he combines them and gives the finished soul to Lue, who must decide how to distribute the soul equally amongst all humans.

Myth and Meaning: Conflict Blog 6

Myth and Meaning: The Conflict

The conflict within my story is to give the human race a sense of care for each-other so they do not destroy themselves, and eventually gain wisdom for themselves.  The Gods Prometheus and Lue have to construct  a spherical object called a Soul, in order to save the human race.  Unfortunately, two main parts of the soul, can only be gained from the two warring gods: The Sun God, and The Moon God.

Myth and Meaning Setting Blog 5

Myth and Meaning: Setting

  • The setting looks like the gods have a view in the clouds looking down upon Earth, fog surrounds their lower legs and very few objects surround them.
  • The setting has very few sounds, the sounds of gods talking amongst each-other and a small peaceful lyre can be heard being played.
  • The smell of the surroundings is like the smell after a fresh rain has come through town, very humid but warm as well.
  • There is no specific taste to the setting, it all tastes like a mixture of fog, and humidity flowing through the air, possibly from the clouds.

Apollos Fight with the Monstrous Python (Summary) Blog 2

The Python of Delphi was a creature the made its abode on Mount Parnassus near central Greece.  The creature had a body of a snake and wherever it went an odd and obnoxious smell followed it, so did death and mischief.  The Python had been sent out by Hera, wife of Zeus, to chase the pregnant Leto who was one of the many lovers of Zeus so she could not settle and give birth to her baby.  Apollo was only 4 days old at this time, but he wanted revenge against the Python for chasing his mother, Leto.  Using his silver bow with golden arrows Apollo confronted Python in his cave, the Python was furious and strong, but Apollo managed to land an arrow straight into the creatures forehead.  The Python struggled for life, but it was too late, and Apollo had ended the creatures life.  Apollo, stricken with joy, pulled out his Lyre and sang a song of victory, it was on this day that Apollo became the God of Music.
